Expressions in Art
This term some year 7 students have entered an art competition that is called ‘Streets & Lanes’. The students who have entered are Siolei Finau, Sofia Toria and Dania Naral. They were asked to paint, draw or take a photo of ‘What’s hard about being a young person today!’ All of them have presented an amazing piece of art in there expressions. The prize for first place is $360 of art supplies, second place is $250 of art supplies and last but not least $100 of art supplies. They can either do it with their whole art class or do it by them self. It will be held at ACDC Lane, Melbourne ( just off Flinders Lane) on Tuesday 8 September 2009 which has already past at 12noon-2pm. The winner will be announced on the day. There will be an Australian band playing live at ACDC lane. The host will be Brian Nankervis from Rockwiz. The good news is that Siolei Finau has won second place so with there prize they have won $250 of art supplies. Congratulations Siolei Finau!!! There will be more competitions later in the year but we just have to wait and see!

ART OR SPORT??? YOU CHOOSE!
Hi, most people would rather sports but others LOVE art! WHY? Because they can enter competitions for either money or school art supplies. They can also have a great talent to show the world what they can do with art! Artist can teach or learn art to/with other people. Art includes painting, drawing, video taking and many more. All around the world there are artist who are making new pictures to put in art galleries or to put in peoples homes. So if your the kind of person who likes art and sport well chose the one you like best! If it’s art then good luck in the future. And maybe you will win lots of money or supplies.
